So I've been trying to figure this one out, I've seen a few videos showcasing a "Tile Puzzle" where if a player steps on a tile, it changes its graphic, but if stepped on again it will reset all tiles in the room. The goal is to activate all tiles. I've tried using 4 Pages of events per square where if stepped on once, it will add a variable and then Self Switch A so then if stepped on again, it will play a SE then Call a Switch to start a Autorun event to then reset all squares in the room and reset player position outside the puzzle. Issue with that is, it resets only 2 of my squares by random chance and the rest are stuck on page 2 permanently.
What can I do to make this work? I would appreciate the help!

Show us your event code - screenshots using Alt+PrintScreen please, without cropping anything. If you have multiple pages, show each page.

Where are the videos you've seen? Were they tutorials? If so, please post links.

There wasn't a tutorial on this sadly so I had to go by thought but here is a link to a similar post with a video showing what I want:
https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/tile-pattern-puzzle.96026/
Basically I want a simple tile puzzle that can use variables and if stepped on the same tile, itll reset the puzzle. In the video it shows you can step outside for it to reset but I don't want that.

The fun thing about Galv is he already includes a demo with the plugin usage examples. So you can usually just mess with that and see how it's done. You're looking for the section "4. EVENT ACTIVATION ORDER - COMBINATIONS" in the plugin description.

That sets it in a 'certain' order, I want the player to be able to hit tiles in any order to get the same solution.

Ah, I probably should get more than two hours of sleep. :hswt:

So if you also use OuterSelfSwitch, can just copy and paste this event as many times as you like, and all you need to change is the Galv.PUZ.selfSwitchesOn(A,8,9,10,11,12) to reflect the Event IDs you're using.

The problem is on Page 3 of OPs Pictures.
Only 1 Autorun can run at a Time if i remember correctly. Change Autorun to Parallel in all Events.
Than your code for page 3:
self switch A turn off
wait 60 Frames
Do this for all your Puzzle Tiles.

Create 1 extra parallel Event with page condition: Puzzle Fail On.
Eventcode:
Wait: 4 Frames
Tile Puzzle = 0
Turn Switch Puzzle Fail Off.
Teleport Player (not sure if above or below turn switch, maybe it doesnt matter =))
The 4 Frames is enough for all other Events to run their Parallel resett page. Maybe even 1 Frame Wait would be enough.

OPs attempt is very nice and simple, i would not go for extra Plugins in this case.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
