I'm working on creating my own tileset but I've run into an issue with one particular tile. (a) I import the tileset via the resource manager. (2) I go to the DB and click on the entry I want, in this case A4. It displays a preview of the tileset and everything looks good. However, after I click OK. When I get to the actual display in the DB I have one tile that fails to appear. It doesn't appear on the map screen either.  It isn't the first or last tile either. It simply leaves a blank space where the tile should be. I do not know why.

Tiles on the A sheet are formatted differently from each other and from the B-E tiles... make sure the one you're trying to put on A4 has the same format as the default A4 tile

Yeah, I got it fixed but I do not know why. The format wasn't the problem. I simply moved the tile vertically one square and it appears. I guess that blank space is supposed to be blank for some reason? There are tiles above the blank spot below it, and on the left. I haven't tried the the right.

Oh well.

you moved them, that is equal to changing the format of your tileset...

though looking at the A4 tiles, everything is filled up...

your best bet to understand the situation is to provide us with example pictures of the database and how it looks in the tileset tab.

You need to make sure your tileset image is imported into the correct slot in the tileset. The ONLY one that won't show up when you use it is the top left corner of Tile B, which should always be left blank. But if you put your new A4 image into the A4 slot, it should show up when you go to edit the map. Make sure the map is using the correct tileset as well.

A4 contains autotiles, in case of A4 two different formats of autotiles (top wall and side wall)
The top wall autotiles are 64x96 pixel structures, the sidewall autotiles are 64x64 pixel structures, and both of them are displayed as 32x32 pixels in the Editor. The "missing" parts of the original autotile structures are used by the editor to modify the map display for larger areas filled with those autotiles.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to use a regular 32x32 pixel grid for creating any of the A#-Tilesheets (and each of the A#-Sheets has a different format with different autotile structures in it), you need to make a tilesheet fit exactly the autotile-structures of it's intended A-slot.

The regular 32x32 grid can only be used with B to E tilesheets

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
