It's been awhile since I touched RPG Maker.  I know VX Ace, the tileset files had to be a certain size (not the 32x32 but the entire length/width of the tileset) where as XP it could be as long as possible.

Is MV the same as Ace?  And if so, what's the max (or must be) size for tilesets?

As far as I can tell, MV is pretty much the same as Ace when it comes to using tilesets (unfortunately - unlimited tileset size and length was a feature I really wanted to return from XP). Each type of tileset has its own dimensions (e.g. A1 is different to A5), but in general the max size of a tileset (Images B through E, anyway) is 768x768. In my opinion, it's a very confusing and needlessly complex system (what was once one tileset combined with a few autotiles is now 9 separate tilesets) XD

Hope that makes sense!

RMMV
The MV tileset format is the same as the Ace tileset format. The MV individual tiles are 48x48 instead of Ace's 32x32, so multiply the dimensions of each tileset image by 1.5 to get the MV measurements.

They are also listed in the Help file (F1) under Documentation > Asset Standards.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
