Tileset Importation Error

I made a partial tileset to help me test the importation. I have two questions.

One, how can I make tilesets compatible with the A-Section instead of just B-E?

Two, I have a problem. Every other tile in the tileset works except the first one and all of the tiles I have done before with just a basic color. With the picture link (http://prntscr.com/8coj7y), here is what happens. The transparent squares are the first tile trying to be used.

Ground tiles go on the A tileset. Tiles on B-E don't stack on top of each other when you draw - they replace each other. So anything with transparent pixels needs to go on the B-E tiles, and anything you want them drawn over needs to go on the A tiles.


To see how they're formatted, export some of the RTP ones and look at them. A1-A4 are all autotiles. A5 is good to use for ground tiles that you just want to repeat and don't require autotiling, like your grass.


Or you could also look at the manual, which describes in detail how the A tiles are formatted and what they all do.

For your second question, the upper left corner of sheet B must be blank and set to star passability.

Oh - I completely missed that question. The top left tile in B is the 'erase' tile. It removes anything you've drawn from the B-E layers when you use it.


You should NEVER put a sprite on the top left B tile, or try to use it to draw. And as already said, it should have a star as the passage setting.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
