This is Rpg maker VX Ace. I converted the XP Tileset the a Vx Ace tileset and used an xp character with a script.(not sure if this is allowed for non commercial use, I hope so)

I opened my XP and VX Ace at the same time and out exactly the same settings on the tileset in VX Ace. Tough walking from above works fine, walking from under makes the tile get Above my character, but this is not the case in XP.  See the attachment for a screenshot.

It Also happens with VX Characters.

tilesets are handled differently by XP and by Ace - if you make the same settings for both, the results will differ (as you've seen yourself).

This goes especially for oversized sprites like the ones you're using, as by default Ace-sprites are the same size as the map-tiles, and the default engine cares only about that.

You have to look for a so-called Z-level-Script for actors. There is one in the High-fantasy-scripts, but you would have to pay for that one. I don't know if there is an alternative on the master-script-list, but that's the place I would suggest you start your search.

Oh I see, it's a resource pack. So in that resource pack there are scripts that are able to do what I'm looking for?

Which High Fantasy Resource packs do I need to buy for this functionality?

I've moved this thread to RGSS3 Script Requests. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

The High Fantasy resource pack DOES have a script for this, but there are scripts out there that you can use without having to buy the pack JUST for that. I've seen one, but don't recall what it's called or who wrote it, but I'm sure someone will be along who can tell you.

Legally, yes, you can use XP resources in your Ace game if you have purchased both XP and Ace.

Which I did.

Well technicly, the creators/publishers(the website layout was pretty different) gave me an XP key for free.

I gave my dad the money and he bought Rpg maker xp online for me.

However, they e-mail with the key wouldn't arrive for months. He took back his money.

Eventually we e-,mailed them  with a different e-mail and than they said they were so sorry they gave me the key+setup for free in an e-mail, I think I still have it logged somewhere in case I need to reinstall XP if I lose it or if I get a different PC. I also asked if you're allowed to do that, and they said yes as long as it's on 1 PC at a time.

But long story aside, thanks for the script. I had a feeling it existed but I had no idea what to google.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
