I don't know if this is where I post this but I have a question on how to make a tileset into a sprite set so I can use some of it as clutter with out having to change the titlesets in the database

You can use the B-D tile pages as events, but not the A tile page.

Basically you need to reformat the tile into a pattern of 3x4 identical pictures.

Use an image program to copy the 32x32 pixels of the tile, then make a new picture where you copy that tile in a 3x4 sprite pattern (96x128 pixel) and save that picture with both a $ and a ! in the filename.

If you want to use a lot of those tiles, then you should make eight of those sprites into a full spritesheet of 4x2 sprite patterns - in that case, only put the ! into the filename.

If, for example, you want to be able to just put a book, or chair or whatever, then there is no need to make them into proper sprite tilesheets.

To understand what I'm suggesting, have a look at the tile sheet !Other3.  You will find it under Graphics/Characters.  You will see 2 sorts of objects there.  Some of them, e.g. top left, have 3 versions of the item.  That is because they are animated, like the candle, or the water around the rock.  To use those, you put them into a graphics event set to stepping animation.  Others, e.g the pickax, have only one version of the item.  That is because you don't need these animated, you just need to be able to put them on the map.  These you place with a graphics event set to Direction Fix.

All you need to do is to create your own sheet like that.  You can put animated objects on, as long as you only want them to do something like the candle, or the fire, smoke etc. from !Flame. But mainly you would use this for single items.  !Other3 is 384 x 512, so to be on the safe side, you could make your sheet the same size.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
