Hello everyone!
I'm new to rmmv (or any rpgmaker in general) and I've run into a problem.
I downloaded and made my own tile sets, I want to use them but they won't show up as an option in the database.

I've tried to search for answers but I have found 0.

Does anyone have a idea on how to solve it?

Thanks in advance :kaopride:

Have your tilesets been added to the proper folder?
Either you can copy them manually in windows explorer (if you know where your project folder is), or just use Tools>Resource Manager in RMMV to add your resources.

Please make sure that your tilesets sizes are appropriate, or you might run into trouble when mapping. Good luck. :kaohi:

Please show screenshots so we can see how you're trying to add them.

Tileset images should be png files, in the img/tilesets folder. The size of each tile sheet needs to be correct for the slot you're adding it to - I think this should be listed in the help file, or you can check the default images to see what size they use.

After you put the images where they belong, you have to go to the Tilesets tab in the database, create a new tileset, then for each slot, click on the button and select the appropriate image for that slot. Set up all your passabilities and flags. Then go to the properties on the map and select the tileset.

Since you didn't explain what steps you are taking it's hard to know if you've done everything right or have left something out, so just check that you've done all of the above.

additionally, MV requires all filenames to follow networking rules, that means no spaces and no non-latin tletters etc.
If your tileset pictures filename contains a space, it will not be listed as an option in the project resources.

Yes thanks! All this time I've tried to add them in the tileset folder in the programfiles instead of the actual project folder!
I kept the file types, sizes and names in account (and just tried them out) and they are OK.
I also make sure that I will explain myself more and put some screenshots the next time I run into something..

Thanks everyone! :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
