Hello i have installed some extra packs with tilesets for A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B, C, D,... sets, problem is that i have several sets for A5, for instance, and i cant put it in the same "tileset group" (interior, exterior, dungeon,...). I want to use tiles from exterior, interior, dungeons, modern day DLC, Mythos horrror DLC, etc in the same map and im not able to find how do it because in de database i have only one option for each position (A1, A2, B, C,...) and i cant place more than one image sets.

¿How can i solve it?

PD: Im not sure if i explained me well, my english is not so good, sorry. XD

Thank you.

You need to create your own in an image editing program, and copy in those tiles from the others that you want to use. Make sure the program allows transparency (so not MS Paint), and preferably lets you overlay a grid so you can line the tiles up to the 32x32 grid.

if a picture is cut after placing it into a tileslot, then the picture usually has the wrong format to go into that tileslot.

It's possible that this is just due to rearranging the tiles to reduce the needed space, but it doesn't look like that was the case in your example, so you need to check where that tilesheet came from and what it was really intended for.

32x32:

Each position on the map consists of 32x32 pixel graphically, and all tilesheets for the B to E slots are 512x512 pixels in size, creating 16x16 different tiles per tilesheet.

If you want to mix some tiles from different tilesheets into a single map, then you need to cut up the tilesheets into their 32x32-sized single tiles and collect those you want into a single new tilesheet. But in that case you have to manually make sure that you don't leave the tile grid of 16x16 tiles with 32x32 pixel each, and you cannot place more tiles into a tilesheet than those 256 possible tiles.

In your example, the top cars look like they are outside the grid, usually a tilesheet looks more "compact", similiar to the bottom car parts.

What pack did they come from, and what is the (original) name of the image? Have you edited it or combined it with other images?

Or ... probably the other half of the car is further down. While the sheet itself has 16 columns of 32 pixel tiles, only 8 go across the palette. The other 8 you can see when you scroll down.

I am trying to merge the images with the tiles with photoshop but i have a problem:

the tilesets that i have placed in the new image doesnt apper. u.u

I think that this a rly bad point at the game. ¿why is so difficult to change the tilesets? even the official DLCs have problems.

PD: later, I placed a grill of 32 x32 pixels in the photoshop for adjust the images to the standard of the RPG maker.

The TV, graffitis, etc doesnt appear, i placed it there form other image for merge it but it doesnt work. u.u

The grid of 32x32 is one limitation, the size another: like we said, the maximum possible size of a tilesheet is 512x512 pixels.
Anything outside that area will not appear in the editor if the picture for the tilesheet is larger.

what is the size of the tilesheet you're trying to import?

Then i cant place a lot of tiles in the same tileseet or in the same group (Inside, outside, dungeon)?.

If i want to make a map with "Modern day tiles" i cant use also the normal tiles ¿no? I just can add a few of them, but not so many.

You can add enough to fill up a 512 x 512 sheet.  One thing that might be your problem with the cars is that in the Ace editor, the sheet does not display as 512 x 512.  All the tiles will be there, but they may look like they are arranged differently.  I believe that it basically cuts the 512 x 512 sheet in half and puts the right half below the left half in the editor.  Does that make sense?  So in your picture of the cars, if you scrolled down further you may find the missing pieces of the car.

And yes, you can put whatever you want in that 512 x 512 sheet.  I don't know enough about Photoshop to know what's going wrong for you, but it can be done.  I do it all the time using Gimp.

You can place four tilesheets of 512x512 plus autotiles (that is a more complex format) into one tileset, and each map can have a different tileset.
Add more tilesets, for example one tileset outdoor-streets, one outdoor-forestpark, one outdoor-buildings and use for each map the tileset with the tiles you need in that area. You don't need street tiles in a park for example, so they usually don't need to be in the same tileset.

Same goes for the indoor sets - just make different tilesets depending on wat you need for a specific map. There is no single map that would need everything in its tileset.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
