I personally hate the style of the new RTP. It just doesn't look good when used for tile mapping

Has anyone made some tilesets that don't follow the style of the MV RTP? Or has anyone converted some old graphics to MV? I was going to convert First Seed Material or really anything that isn't photoshop crap but it takes time

Literally anything in a different style, please

There are lots of things that aren't RTP for MV. Have a look through the store and you'll find lots of stuff. FSM, Medieval tilesets, all kinds. It all depends on if you want to pay for it.

FYI for stuff you already own and want to convert to MV, you can batch adjust multiple files at once making the whole process quite simple.

There's loads of stuff, it depends on what you're looking for. There are tilesets in the store that are their own unique style, already converted to MV's setup, anything Ace could be sized up to MV's tile size too. There would be some slight loss of quality, but with some resources it doesn't make a big difference. It happens less often, but there's also some original stuff here in the forums. What style of graphics would you prefer?

There are a lot more tilesets that doesn't follow the RTP than tilesets that do follow it. Browse the official store, or artists' stores and you'll find out tons of them.

There's Time Fantasy, POP! Horror, Medieval, Nostalgia, RMBoy and Omega Modern tileset packs on the store that look nothing like RTP!

Paid tilesets aren't an option (I live in a rather poor country ;C)

I forgot about Time Fantasy, thanks

I'm going to choose the style after I know what is avaible for me so I just try to find everything I can

I'd like to have something more retro, in the style of RM2K graphics, if anything like that was made for MV

then you will be rather limited. Making a new tileset in a new style is a lot of work - an artist can work several months fulltime and it would still not contain everything that is available in the default RTP.
And that is too much work to do it for free, almost every artist who did that only placed it into the store to get some reward for those hundreds of hours.

Your best option would be to look for sales on steam for several reasons, including the fact that steam scales the prices based on country it is in (if I remember correctly the regular price in some countries like Mexiko is 30% of the price in the USA, in case of Germany it is (unfortunately) 105% that of USA) - and steam has sales more often than the official RMW store.
Check www.isthereanydeal.com for current and historical lows of anything on steam.

@Versus I've merged your posts together. Please use the 'Edit' button if you have something to add after you posted.

Since you said Retro, there's the Mighty Pack. Crazy Leen has retro resources too, though they're formatted for VXAce. And Sharm has Tiny16.

Love how the Mighty Pack looks like! Haven't seen that before yet.

Here another option (non-commercial use only)

You're in luck, since you like retro pixel stuff, that gives you a lot more options. Other than the stuff already pointed out, there' also Crazy Leene's retro resources. Plus anything that's 16x16 or 24x24 can be sized up to work in MV. There is tons of stuff at Open Game Art, but you'll need to arrange the tiles to suit MV yourself.
