Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I figured it fit this one best. Now, I have found some plugins that offer a day/night or time cycle but what i need is something that turns on a switch or something when it's night and when it's day. This is because I want to have events who's conditions are based on time of day....for example, in Zelda OOT if you go to kakariko village at night you will see the young man sitting under the tree, and if you go to hyrule field at night there will be stalfos. Basically what I want is for the game to alternate between night and day (this can be in real time or not) and when it's night time there's a ghost in the graveyard and when its day time a picture of sunrays is shown etc etc. Big thanks in advance.

This is actually so easy to event that you don't need a plugin, only variables, common event and screen tint.

I modified the game timer to serve as an internal clock.
if you're not using time-based battles, you already have a working clock there, just tie it to variables and you're set.

If you make your own clock using a common event and variables it's super easy to make time/date based quests. See tutorial: I made an entire year's calendar of events doing this. It can be a bit finicky, I had to set up the sleeping so that it only adds 1h at a time instead of 8h in 1 line, but that's not a big problem.

Once you have your own clock just add a condition that turns on a day/night switch at specified times.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
