The most exciting part of game development, for me, is having an amazing idea in mind, thinking about how you will make the project from that idea, and make your dream worlds come true! It's an amazing feeling to see your own worlds come to life.

Truthfully, just all of it; anything I do that gets the game closer to competition (or just generally planned and functioning better) feels exciting even if I really don't enjoy doing it (like database work or pixel art... those tend to take be the most monotonous yet somehow when I know it's for my game it feels like the time slipping by was actually well spent)

Time Fantasy no have facesets... :,< . Really good though. Makes me wanna do some sprites, but MAN their HUGE....the pixel size was doubled. The only thing i have to ask about it is if there will be more in this style, i didint see any "snowy" tiles....but it seems to have just about everything else.

I really like the start of a game develompent. The Brainstorming, doing sketches... But i definitely loves the mapping.

The most exciting part of game development is playtesting my games. I love seeing all the work I did come together as one being. It's freakin' beautiful.

Those school tiles are perfect!

I'd have to say that the most exciting part of game development is the planning stage, where you're creating your characters and the world they inhabit. It's where you can just let your imagination run wild, before you get into the logistics of mapping and eventing.

Hmm... This is a smell of good resources!

I think future school pack can be used for labs of sf games. Great. :)

Entry: Which part of game development is the most exciting for you and why?

To me, it's writing stories. I really like it and actually, I've written novels before I came up with RPGMaker. I find it's always interesting to think about the world setting, history, and characters, then often try to relate them with main stories and side quests. I often think, "What does he think? Why is he here at this time?" or something like that. Those reasons will be back stories of them and perhaps have something todo with actual plots. You know, everyone should have their own stories, imo.

... Yes, I admit that's the reason why my games always contain too much writing. :p

That Time Fantasy looks good, for sure. Also took a quick listen to Cyberpunk and was decently surprised.

Level/map design, I suppose. Telling your player what to do or where to go without explicit tutorials or hand-holding is a bit hard, but also definitely fun.

- Story and characters design. It's fun trying to get emotion out of the readers.

Setting things into action is my favourite part of development.

Mapping. I can't get enough of it. I find myself making new projects just so I can make a map, quite the stress reliever for me. It also lets me think more about the story I'm writing and the details therein; what type of life-style can be found in a village or city, what kind of creatures may lurk in a dungeon or wilds - mapping gives me ideas to work with that I otherwise might not come up with. Especially when writers block appears (super effective against me x.x).

Those fantasy tiles are awesome, falling in love with them the more I look at them! *Drools* @.@

The giveaway is still going on. :)

We've had several requests to extend the amount of time we run the launch giveaways, so that's what we're trying to aim for. I will post when the giveaway is over and once the winners are chosen. :)

The most exciting part of game development for me is when i can finally show my game/project to others. Discuss it, see what they have to say about the awesome new system, about the characters, the graphics... will they like it or hate it? So exciting!

Sooo it seems this give-away's going on that i've been missing.

Which part of game development is the most exciting for you and why?

Creating the characters. Ever since some point in my rpgmaker days where I stopped using premade facesets, i've been making so many characters and stories to go along with them.

I dunno, that feeling of "I made these characters right over here!" makes me happy (;-v-)

I have a question about Time Fantasy, is there any ETA for it coming to Steam? Not that it would matter in the long run, more curiosity.

My favorite part of creating a game is building out the world. I love packing in as much flavor and life in to my world as possible. Characters, animals, flavor text. I like making the world feel like a living breathing place. Modern or not.

I absolutely love Time Fantasy, in fact it's the only RPG Maker DLC I've ever purchased outside of the Humble Bunde. I think I'm going to get more after seeing the quality and quantity you get. I think this is going to be the basis of my game when MV comes out.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
