I was scrolling down the PRODUCTS page one day, and I noticed the graphic pack Time Fantasy. I thought it looked awesome, and I wanted to buy it, but I don't see how you can create a game without battlers. There seemed to be only tiles, sprites and so on (everything to create a world), but not anything for the battles in general.

Well, adventure games that don't have battles, puzzle games and other such types can be created.  Plus, they KIND of work with DS chibi battlers if you were so inclined to do that.

Considering the word "fantasy" was in the title, I'm sure some of wanted at least creatures or whatever. I was sad to see no sprites for fantasy creatures...

Luckily, I won it and did not buy it. :)

Old School Modern Tile Pack 2 has some Battlers.

But from the look of it, it shouldn't be so hard to 'convert' battlers from Thalzon or Tyler Warren to fit to Time Fantasy.

Yeah, sorry.  I meant DS+.  That one has fantasy-based battlers that could fit the tone of it and since the OSM2 pack is made by the same guy, the battlers would fit right in.  Of course, you'd be limited to how many you could essentially use, but as felsenstern said, converting them to a more fantasy feel wouldn't be too difficult.  If it is, ask the local pixel artists for help!

I'm still talking about sprites, not battlers.

Charsets...?

1) A lot of the packs aren't made to be used alone, most of them are meant as add-ons for the RTP or some of the other packs.

2) They could also be the first of a series of packs planned to be made by the one who made it.

Also, battlers are on the more forgiving side since the battles can use a whole different art style and it won't look bad for the game. Like you might be using DS+ style for the maps, sprites etc but have the battles at the RTP style.

I also think there might be more to come on the same style as it said

The first Time Fantasy graphics pack

Every battler featured in OSM2 has a corresponding sprite, mostly in OSM2 but a select few are from OSM1. They're mostly suitable for modern games though so I wouldn't buy them expecting a full set for a fantasy game.

Yes, but the OP was talking about battlers and that's what I was talking about.

@OP, basically, if you need battlers that can "fit" with the style more than anything else (aside from OSM2 which is limited in that regard), then the DS+ Chibi Battlers are where you'd want to go.  However, keep in mind that there are no Time Fantasy-styled character sets for them and even the DS+ sets that do exist don't have all the monsters featured.  Still, it's something to go on!

Or the other piece of advice I gave you was to look around for a pixel artist that can mimic the style and create custom battlers and character sets for you.  You may need to hire someone or you could try your hand as asking for them in Resource Requests and see if anyone would be willing.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
