Game Overview

Titan saga is an open world fantasy rpg, focused on deep customization of a character and town. Through tough choices, tactical battles and epic dungeons, you will experience an exciting and unique adventure.

Story
Imperial Unity, it was supposed to save the humans and bring back order. As the lord ruler began to lose his influence to the growing houses, he made law that the higher houses would have to wed their heirs to the lesser houses on the fringes of human lands. He said the Titan of Fire had commanded it, but even the common folk know he can no longer hear that voice. The lord ruler needed to redistribute the power, to stop the potential coup from the most powerful house. He would do anything to keep his power.
Unbeknownst to all, an ancient force had awakened. The elves had found their paragon, The Titan of Air. He had crafted the first elves in the times before. The magic they once had, began to return. Human long knew they would never be able to turn back to magic. The Chains of Kronos sealed the Titan of Fire. But they were a people who looked forward and soon a large empire-wide guild of engineers had formed. With blackpowder and steam, humans had become the most powerful race. As magic begins a new, that may not last. Kronos the Titan who sealed all with not be able to hold be the Titan of Air for long.

You begin your journey as an unfortunate young heir, to a lesser noble house, forced to flee from your city. Elves were provoked to attack your small city on the edge of the human empire. Nefarious human enemies seem to want you dead and your family name destroyed. You must safe your family, your name, your people, your land and maybe... your race. As you begin your adventure, you notice more and more strange magical anomalies, you know something bigger than just you is happening.

Choose your allies wisely, as this journey will not be easy.

I gave your demo a try, but ended up getting stuck at the forest boss. I'm terrible at answering forms that use a 1-5 scale (since I always end up leaving 3s:kaoswt2:), so I'm gonna skip your google forms and just leave my comments here.
I liked getting to choose how my Vagabond hero (who I named 'Hero' because I am a good namer), but I noticed she didn't get a namebox for her messages when everyone else did. It's a small thing, but I would've liked seeing her name when she spoke. The dialogue was fine, but there are some spelling errors (mostly switched letters, like 'destoryed' and 'cuased' in the conversation between the Quartermaster and Engineer), so going over that again would be good. I'm not sure how you could fix it, but the typeface used had a tendency to overlap letters which slightly affected readability.

I loved the pop-up hints, it was a nice way to teach me without forcing me to sit through a long-winded message box. There were two hints in the sewer that confused me though, one talked about enemy health bars appearing after I had defeated one of the enemies but I never saw a HP bar until later in the forest. The other hint talked about a bestiary in the main menu but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Your exterior maps were pretty nice, but the noble mansion I started in seemed huge. Even if they were rich enough to afford that big of a house, I would think that they would use the space better, and not just have big open areas. The lighting plugin used made the maps a bit more interesting to look at, but I was confused as to why the forest was pitch black since I would expect that a moon would be reflecting some light back onto the world.

Battles were straightforward, though I expect if I had gotten farther there would have been more skills for me to choose from. As it was, I was fine until Grandfather left me and I died to two level 4 or 5 mushrooms. Then I started a terrible cycle of dying and losing half my money, spending my last pennies on healing items, and then dying again. I ended up selling just about everything I had so that I could buy some more healing items and when I died to the forest boss I just couldn't bring myself to try again. I think my biggest issue was that if I died I started with only 2 health, and the Refugee Healer wouldn't heal me so there was no good way for me to afford healing in the long run. :kaocry:

I ran into a problem when buying equipment. I thought that getting a Bronze Dagger would help me fight better, but after buying one I found out I got one called Useless Bronze Dagger. It was worse than my Training Dagger so I scraped together enough money to buy one more, and it was another Useless Bronze Dagger... Having different prefixes that effect base weapons and armors can make finding new equipment more interesting, but please find a way to make sure that the player isn't wasting their money when buying the item from a shop.

Overall it seems like this could be a pretty interesting game, but unfortunately bad luck put me in a situation that made it difficult to progress.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
