Greetings to those who might be interested. I have an idea for a project I'd like to call Caeruleae Memoriae (literally Blue Memories from the Latin) as a relatively short first shot at using RPG Maker VX Ace. I've done some research to find sound effects and music I'd like to use and have a pretty good grasp on what I'd like the plot to be. But...I don't really have experience as a programmer or artist so that's where you come in!
I was hoping to have a title screen with a black background which shows a blue buttery flitting about--perhaps going towards the left out beyond the letter C in Caeruleae, to give a possible example. As for a Game Over screen to make things slightly different, I was thinking the Game over text should be in red against a black background but, to lend a slight touch of decoration, there ought to be either a red rose petal or a rose either fluttering to the ground or perhaps lying against it to signify that indeed the player's not got the droid they're looking for

Anyone willing to help or at the least provide advice, I'd really appreciate it. (I'd normally try to give this a shot myself but my last computer died a couple months ago and I don't have access to another Photoshop license right now...)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
