Title Screen Pitch Black?

So, when I launch the executable .exe of my game outside of the VX Ace editor, the two title cards and music play but the title Screen is pitch black. But when I playtest it through the editor, the title Screen appears just fine. How can I fix this?

do you have any scripts installed? if yes, which ones?
And what pictures are you using as title screen? it might be that those couldn't be loaded.

How did you launch the exe? simply going to the project folder or after deployment?

I launched the exe from the Game folder. And I'm using Mog's Title Script but I took it out and tried to see what happened if I did and the Title Screen is still pitch black without the script.

does this happen with a new project?
If not it is something you have done wrong with the title script, and you need to tell us what you did in order to help

I have been working on this game for 11 months. I started it in the Lite version of VX Ace but then soon upgraded to the full version a few months later.

So I installed the script a couple days ago, produced all the images for it. It has a lot of animations. It works fine in the editor I don't get why it doesn't work in the exe folder. I had a different animated title script before this which had the same outcome so I switched scripts.

The title screen is still pitch black when there is no script attached I am lost.

that is not the question I asked - does this happen with a completely new project?

then copy the game exe from the new project to the damaged project - it looks as if that program is damaged, and the new project was to test if you could use that for a replacement or needed to reinstall to get an intect one.

If the problem is not solved after copying the game.exe from the new project, then it is a change that is based on the playtest function - which means it is something in your scripts even if you believe to have disabled all of them.

Wait, no. I just tried this. It didn't work. The same thing happens.

if it happens only in the old project, not in the new one, then it is something in the scripts.
And if it doesn't happen in playtest, then it is in an area where the playtest is checked for differences.
And that means you have a script (or a modification to a core part of the engine) active in the game when that happens, and you need to find out which one.

First test should be to check all "unnamed" slots in the script editor to see if there is a script you just forgot and forgot to name.
