To Ash

An RPG by Kyle Ballentine made in RPGmaker MV Do you accept death? Or do you fear it? An old-school RPG made to question your acceptance of mortality.

I just put up the first trailer, and here's the facebook page with more pics and screens!

What's unique about my rpg is that instead of getting stronger, you get weaker as you go along!
The main character is old and dying, so you actually "level down" and lose skills as you go.  (You'll miss them!)

I'm a long time rpg lover and I think this idea fixes a few issues with rpgs.
For one, grinding levels will never be necessary!
Secondly, the battles are fun and strategic from the start!

Because the premise is that you're a hero who saved the world in the past, you start with a lot of skills and lose them throughout, so you won't be choosing attack-attack-attack-attack-attack-attack-attack for the first half of the game!

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
