Nice topic! Here's my "this week" list

John Cage - Thirteen Harmonies

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BowyUXyNud4

(I thought of posting Darude - Sandstorm also but.. :D  .)
I never expected to see a John Cage entrie.

I would troll everyone by putting "4:33" from this genius, but no.

Oh also here is just one from me:

From their final album.

Can't go wrong with Floyd
Well they should had released it in the 90s.

It will not have success these days, because it sounds like an average Division Bell.

They said it is the continuation of the Division Bell.

Like there was a need for that. Anyway.

The only thing that went wrong was timing.

This could be a huge success in the late 90s

But now it is 2015... They are at least 15 years late! :(

I consider "The Dark side of the Moon", "Ummagumma studio album", ""Meddle" and "The Wall" the best Pink Floyd records so far.

Maybe also the "A momentary lapse of reason" could count as good too but... I don't know, The Division bell was really great.

And of course The Dark side of the Moon is one of the best albums ever made in general anyway.

So yeah Pink Floyd was a band that could not make a bad album.

But having such magnificent ones,is a fact that alone is rising the expectations.

So it is hard to tell if you can be satisfied from what you listen to. :)

@Ralpf

I know most of your top songs and they are great.

Collective Soul - December

What a pleasant surprise. This song kept me company on a very... sad moment I had in the past.

@Shuji Holy Grail by Versailles was an amazing album. Very catchy songs, great guitars and the drummer is awesome. To me they were the closest thing I could find to Malice Mizer. Now they split and became Jupiter and they still play awesome. (If at some point they come again in Germany for live shows I'll be the first to go :D   )

@Dreadshadow 4:33 would be very fun to post and watch the reactions  :guffaw:  (if any). And yes, Cage was a genious.

By the way, to me Division Bell is my favorite album by Pink Floyd because it changed my oppinion about them and made me respect them deeply. Marooned, my favorite by them, I envy that guitar sound...

@TheRiotInside Thanks for the post, i did not know who these bands were but the songs Kuroi Ledge and Knights are very nice!

Yeah, Versailles is my favorite band ever. I also like Jupiter, but without Kamijo it's totally different, and they also changed style so I don't like their muic as much as Versailles.

Well, I'm a fan of powermetal, and this is what I'm listening while mapping:

I'll just leave these here

"Twist of Cain" by Danzig.....Chuck Biscuits beats the F&*# out of his drums in this song! and how many songs will you hear about Cain and Abel from The Bible? I love it!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XomMTY3NJII

"Moon Rocks" by Talking Heads......arguably the greatest new-wave band of the 1980s. This is from one of their best albums(in my opinion) and the keyboard is soooo daaaammmnnn fuuunnkkkkyyyyyy.

"And The Beat Goes On" by The Whispers.....this track comes from the 70s. One of the best songs that The Whispers recorded. It re-entered pop culture when it was featured in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.....and for all you Daft Punk fans out there, this song was one of their inspirations for their music :p I can't recall the exact year, but I think it was sometime during the 90s that In 1999, Daft Punk was on BBC Radio and played a remix of this song :o

"Surfing With The Alien" by Joe Satriani.....what can I say about Joe "Satch" Satriani that hasn't been said? The man is a god-damned guitar virtuoso and has taught some of the biggest names in music how to play.  His students included Kirk Hammett of Metallica, David Bryson of Counting Crows, Kevin Cadogan from Third Eye Blind, Larry LaLond of Primus and Possessed, Alex Skolnic of Testament, Rick Hunolt(ex-Exodus), and many more.

"You Can't Bring Me Down" by Suicidal Tendencies....ST, and their fans, are so out of control that they have been banned from playing in Los Angeles County in California. Here is a taste of ST's brilliance :p     "...you wouldn't know what crazy was if Charles Manson was eating Froot Loops on your front porch!" best line haha

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
