Hi, what I want to know is there any way to make a class start the game with a certain amount of tp? For example I want my swordsman class to start out with 20 Tp, then I am going to take the tp gain away from all their skills. So that they can't gain any. But I want them to gain Tp from leveling up, just like any other parameters.

I just need a list of instructions to do this, maybe examples

It isn't that easy because the actors also gain TP by being damaged from enemies. You'll need a script to prevent that from happening, and also a script to set an amount at start.

You also need all actors with the feature "preserve TP" added in the database, without that feature TP will be set to zero after each battle.

As for the script: there are some TP-Managers on the master script list, but that would be like using a Ferrari to bring letters to the post office - much too large for your need.

Those simple changes to TP you better request as a small script in the script request forum, you shouldn't need more than a dozen lines of a script to solve this.

(or, if you know a bit about programming you might try to write the script yourself - but without a background in programming you'll spent much time learning RGSS...)

Ok. so I will go request a script? Isn't there a code that can set tp? That I can put in like the notebox or something in each class? Also what is the preserve tp code?

preserve TP is not a code, it is a feature that can be set for actors in the feature fields of classes, actors and so on in the database.

Noteboxes have absolutely no function unless you've scripts installed that check them - placing something there does nothing in itself. That's why they're called noteboxes - originally they were designed to keep you game notes and plans for that object, and they were used by scripters as a comfortable way to set data for game objects - but they were never intended for this use, and because of that they won't do anything without scripts in the script editor.

And yes, setting TP is a very simple short code line - the problem is finding the place where to put that line in the script editor with its several thousand lines of code.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
