Friends i am new to RPG Maker MV but have watched the tutorials and have created a World Map MAP001 and a Village Map MAP002 and when i go to create an event to transfer from the world map to the village i naturally go through the protocol to get to the events/transfer window and select the MAP002 as my destination. But when i click ok and go to the next step it shows MAP001 and i just end up back where i started (at the world map). It seems i am missing something.

Do i need to save my village map under the world map ?

The funny thing is i can manually add the village destination and it will save correctly, i know i am simply doing something wrong, please any help at all would be just great.

I've moved this thread to MV Support. Thank you.

Can you please show screenshots of your transfer event, as well as the setting for the transfer?

Product Discussion and Support is for queries concerning e.g. Resource Packs bought from the store. Queries like this belong in the support forum for the engine you are using.

[move]RPGMaker MV[/move]

Please take a screen shot of the event page where you created the transfer events you're having problems with. Do not crop it. Use Alt+PrtSc so that it only takes a screen shot of the active window, not the whole of your monitor screen.

What I suspect might have happened is that you used the 'Quick Create' facility, but did not change the destination. As a default, it gives you the map you are on, and you have to manually select the correct map and tile that you want the player to arrive at.

What you're missing is that you need to set the destination point on the second map before clicking OK. Just selecting the mapname on the list does not select the destination on that map, that is why it stays on the original position.

That was it, i did not set an actual destination point. I knew it was user error..

Apparently MZ lets you preview move routes in the move route editor without having to start up test game. That could save a lot of time during development compared to MV, especially for a long game that uses a lot of event movement for cutscenes.

Working on a Premium version of my minimap plugin that will have advanced functionalities such as drawing a Terrain map based completely on the users tilesets, whatever they may be, and drawing minimap radar icons automatically based on texture of the event the note is applied to.
