So i making a huge world map using parallax mapping.

But i bumped into a problem,

I'm failing transfer the player to the world map as a ship, I'm really clueless, I have no trace of idea how to make it happens.

What i'm trying to do in the next,

The player talking to npc with a ship, the npc transfer the player to the world map, But as the ship(Vehicle).

The player cruise to whenever he wants, like for example, A small isle, Temple, Lighthouse...

Once the player touches the target spot he transfers to the area, As the actor.

How do i do that???

*I can't change the actor graphic to a ship because there's fashion system in the game, So it'll be very hard to change the player back to his old graphic

Fadeout the scene, transfer the player next to the ship, use the Get On/Off Vehicle, then fade in the scene.

it isn't that easy, because the vehicle movement is hardcoded to specific tiles.

Regularly, a lot of people use two invisible tiles, one set to passable and one set to impassable, to set the player's move option on a parallaxed map.

If you want to use a ship or boat on the parallax map, you need to fill the water parts of that map with an invisible tile in A1 in the place that would allow ship movement (for example, the very first tile in that sheet).

Only if the water area is filled with the correct (invisible) tiles on those coordinates will the ship be able to move there.

So does this answer your question?

On a parallaxed map, you'll have to do what Andar says as well, because vehicles don't obey the X and O passability of tiles. They have special rules depending on what A1 tile they're on and what the vehicle is.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
