Issue is that the content is swallowed by the whole template. Is it going to be like from characters in ACE, to where I have to place a $ first or what? Or is it not possible to use those templates ever again?

The main difference between Ace's graphics and MV's is that faces are now 144x144 pixels instead of 96x96 pixels... or in other words, 50% bigger.  This would make an entire faceset 576x288 pixels instead of 384x192 pixels.

If you want to import Ace faces into MV, you'll need to use a paint program and increase the size by 50%.  The only problem is that this will make them appear blurry.

That case, will GIMP work in this scenario? or will I actually have to use a painters tool and redo the whole template?

I use this for resizing my Ace stuff: http://www.kickbackgames.com/mvfu/

Mind, you can't use the rescaled sprites of the older RTP with the MV sprites, because they clash horribly with the natural size of MV sprites.

I just used GIMP to resize the template.... my god. You weren't kidding on the blurry part.

The developers seriously need to start strolling in new characters, faces, etc. I can't use what I have x.x and generating isn't always going to work, for I can't even generate monster characters.

Well to be fair it's not the job of the developers to supply resources, just the engine. And for the site, did you turn off any anti-virus programs? Everyone I've talked too says it's fine.
