transform gear after shape shift

Hi 

Looking for a transform gear script that is compatible with the following scripts:

essentially i want it to allow me to attack with a new weapon after a transformation created by shapeshift, which changes the actors graphic, class, skills, and equipment but the equipment is empty and reverted when the transformation ends

what i want is for the transformation to have a new fixed set of equipment to be reverted when the transformation ends.

I tried using:

but when i attack it no longer shows an icon, and reverts the animation to default. (unarmed,even though i do have it equipped) Which is really weird :unsure:   anyone know how to fix this?

Most probably your difficulty comes from the fact that those scripts transform the actor, not the weapon.

And if you change the actor's class or some of the features in a way that the ability to equip a weapon type is lost, then all weapons of that type are automatically removed.

Please make a better description of what and when you want to change - the weapon or the actor, and should that change gain any different features or should the weapon have different elements or whatever. There are several examples for how to handle changing weapons as long as the change doesn't happen during combat (and I think some of them might even work during combat), but without more info we can't tell what the best option for you would be.

well im actually trying to change the actor an THEN the equipment, thought i made it clear with "essentially i want it to allow me to attack with a new weapon after the transformation" but i will be more descriptive thank you :)

you need to reequip the weapon after transforming, especially if it's not allowed to be equipped when not transformed.

If you want to access the equipment screen during battle, you'll need a script that adds an equip command to the battlemenu (there are two or three on the master script list)

Or you can equip that by event command after the command that transforms your actor

what i would need is the latter equipping the gear by event command after i shape shift the actor in battle, tried calling a common event on the skill but it does't work is there some other way? 

i do not want a script to call the equip menu it is not needed i will break it down with an example:

What i want:

Actor: uses skill to transform using this script  http://www.rpgmakerv...959-shapeshift/

said actor needs to be equipped with new fixed gear during the transformation when the transformation is complete and actor is reverted, old gear will be re-equipped by the previously mentioned script.

What im getting:

actor uses skill to transform all gear is unequipped, try weapon transform with  http://cobbtocs.co.uk/wp/?p=172 and no icon is appearing when i attack which is odd i think the id call is getting lost somewhere in the shapeshift script because it un-equips all gear and saves it to be reverted when the transformation is completed.

1 more time so its clearly stated MUST be compatible with the shape**** script and battle symphony http://symphonyan.or...y-introduction/

Why doesn't it work?

Does the skill already has another common event on it (only one can be called if several are added)?

Post a screenshot of the skill and the common event.

here are screenshots of the process occurring, and all areas of function, added change weapon to 2 actors but the effect is the same no weapon changes

the first two the skill and common event the last three the events in battle as they play out no weapon equipped after transformation.

OK, I think there are a few points that need correction.

1) Check the actors after the battle. Is the equipment on the status screen the new one or the old one?

2) Visibility of a weapon in a battle system like Symphony is different as equipping a weapon. Symphony checks most data at the beginning of the battle and doesn't check again later. It can very well be that the actors already use the values of the equipped new weapons, but Symphony simply uses the old grafic setting.

Give us screenshots of the state and the actors as well to check there if they can equip the new weapons...

At the moment you need to do a lot of detail testing to find out what exactly happens and what doesn't, before that problem can be traced to its reason...

Note that the effects in the note-tag are run after the effects in the effect box, so if you're using common events to change equips, it probably doesn't do anything because it's done before the actual shapeshift.


I wrote this as a workaround if you needed common event effects to run after other custom effects.

1) after battle the equipment is the old one, which is what i want because after battle the tranformation ends therefore equipment is reverted as stated before by this script http://www.rpgmakerv...959-shapeshift/

2) even when they have the same equipment types the old icon id is called and not the new one when using http://cobbtocs.co.uk/wp/?p=172 or otherwise

   when i try to use common events to change the weapon its pretty evident that the change does not occur because my knife adds attk times +1 while i still only attack once, while the former still calls the same icon but attacks twice which probably means the weapon has changed and the icon has not.... tried using symphony tags on the knife to call a weapon id of my choosing but still the previous icon is called.

 the issue that seems to be with this script  http://cobbtocs.co.uk/wp/?p=172 its either 1) not calling the weapon id 

                                                                                                                                          2) symphony is not letting a new id to be called at all by common event or otherwise,

                                                                                                                                               when i attack the old id is still called,  even when i add symphony tags to a weapon to

I've updated the shapeshift script to automatically change the equips to the ones that are currently on the new battler.


Usage


1. In the database, select the actor that you want to transform to


2. setup that actor's equips


While I'm at it, I might as well make "change skills" and "change equips" optional.

there is a new small bug were the new form is not gaining tp....

are you getting it on your end as well?.

New form gains TP when I guard (which adds TP) or get damaged for me.


My project only has symphony battle and the scripts for shapeshift.

moved some scripts around its working now seemed to be clashing on an atb script i think thanks again for all the help BD
