Hey, I'm trying to make a Limit Break System where theres 3 levels of transformations but every time I use the skill I can't manage to get the battler sprites to change unless I remove the original actor from the party and replace it with the new sprites but that won't work as you'd have to level up 3 separate people so does anyone know how to get it so that when the skill is used the actor sprites then change
I've got the system I built working for another actor where it releases her full power and she then had new spells to use and can use one spell to increase a ability but then use it to attack the next time it works perfectly for her apart from that after 5 turns she isn't out but not for the other guy
To explain it further
I have 3 sprites for my actor Raku but when he uses one of 3 transformations within his Limit Break his sprites would then change to show a transformation and he'd have acess to new spells as he'd become stronger as it's like a strength boost
Level 1 he has his hair and sword on flames to show that his magic has become stronger
Level 2 he grows the wings and claws of a phoenix as he's then faster and more agile
Level 3 he merges with his magic and becomes pure magic now being at his full level and using the strongest spells available
each lasts for 5 turns then the actor goes back to there normal state
I've set it up in the database with common events and states that when there in the state of each level they have new spells and transform to show it and in common events it says If Raku is in state of LVL 1 then he'd say he's transformed and then the actor image would change
but it doesn't work I've also set up actors and skills for these levels that are available at a certain level of LB which is the Limit Break bar
The Skill says that the effects are that it will then add the state of the level and in common events I have that when affected by state there suppose to change sprites and I have the common event in effects for the skill
The Limit Break works perfectly but I can't get the transformations
I thought would be good to explain the best I can if anyone knows what to do to get the actor images to change for each level then please let me know as I've tried a lot and can't get it to work without adding in a new actor in the place of the original but then you'd have to level the actor up again with a new sprite so I need another way thanks
The way I set up the Limit Break with the girl that works is that in skills I've added a Limit Break skill that costs 100 MP to use as it's like only to be used as a last spell and it gives her extra strength and max MP for 5 turns and adds the new spells for her to use with the common event that she's transforms and that works perfectly so the system itself works
the only other information I can give about it to be helpful is that I added a new skill type for Limit Break where she'd need the MP before she can use it and can't access her full power until level 30 but I haven't figured out how to have her lose all her MP and LB after 5 turns from the power of her magic being too strong she'd take damage and not be able to fight longer for a few turns there will be a timer like when your frozen in Pokémon she'll only be unable to use magic or attack normally for a couple turns before being able to get up but her Limit Break would be locked as can only use it once
Hope this information helps as tried to explain the situation as detailed as possible so that I could find the solution to the problem
