Hi guys

I am trying to change image A and B using show picture but there was a blink between images (I believe this is because the system takes time to load image B)

I have been trying opacity 255 -> 0 -> 255 but it did not work

Is there a way to manipulate $gameScreen.showPicture(XX) variable or any fading command/variables ?

Can anyone shed some light on this issue ?

Thanks

Preload the picture sprite by showing it at 0 opacity at first.

Picture B (0opacity) -> Picture A -> Picture B (255 opacity)

I think this should work.

Are you trying to write this into a plugin or are you just trying to get this to work with events?

You simply need to preload the image before switching images.
Edit: You can use this ImageManager.loadPicture(filename) assuming the image is in the picture folders. Just call this a couple of frames before switching images and you should be fine.

Would Jump into Javascript be best off continuing to break down the MV core files, or would people prefer a quick detour to cover everything that's changed in the core from MV to MZ?
Not going to lie... PIXI Particles make fantastic graphics... But predicting the hitbox of something with a "fixed size" but whose graphics can stick out past that, is quite challenging. :kaoswt:

Besides my Might and Magic inspired project, I have always wanted to make a Fire Emblem-like game. Time is the culprit... Between life, composing music packs, and working on a game can it be done!? The tactical plugins for MV work quite well based on what I have tested.
