One day, I encountered a good doujin game at certain site. It has an exceptionally good user review, beautiful artwork along with captivating game play… on top of that, this game is distributed for free. But, too bad … this game is in Japanese, while I … just like the rest of 7 billion earth population … don’t speak Japanese.

So, after spending hours of agonizing research on aggregate tool, automatic translation tool etc… I came up with two conclusion. First, machine translations are suck when used as-is! Especially on handling inconsistent languages like Japanese. Sometimes with my limited knowledge of Japanese, the untranslated text are more understandable than the one translated using machine. Second, creating manual translations are painfully vexing without appropriate tools…. And unfortunately there are no such tool.

And finally I decided to create my own tool. A tool to combine the handiness of machine translation while accommodating manual translation.

Translator++ is pretty much Inspired by Atlas translation tool. By using grid view, we can have several translation and reference for one context. The best translation (the rightmost filled column for each row) will be used by the engine when deploying translation, while the older version of translation still retained.

Who doesn’t like automation? If possible, we like to have the entire translation process done automatically…. by single click. Unfortunately, that’s hardly unrealistic for producing a quality translation … at least for now.

But we are trying our best to help you out from manual labor.

This feature is mainly served as a reference to produce better manual translation. But yes, if you don’t care about translation quality … you have an option to translate everything using online or offline translation services just by a couple of click. -_^

Glad you liked it.
The current release of Translator++ is kind of alpha release. A lot of feature I had in mind are not fully implemented yet.
Those feature to switch the language is one of them.
But don't worry... I'll definitely include that feature in the future public release.

Do i have to make the deployment first and then use your program?
Currently, the only way to create a new translator++'s project is to select the exe file of your game.
If I remember correctly, I think RPG Maker XP, VX, and VX Ace are automatically generating an exe file for your game project even without deploying the project. So, it is possible to create a translation project without deploying the game first.
But RPG Maker MV has another story, you have to deploy your game in order to generate an executable files that is needed for Translator++ to create translation project.

This is a pretty neat tool. ^^
I plan to translate my new game to Japanese and Spanish, and I think this tool will work great. Of course, I'll have to manually translate the google translated version of the text to maintain quality, but it does reduce the initial workload.

This is just for translation from Japanese, isn't it? I tried to translate from German to English but the output text is exactly the same as the input text.

It keeps skipping this one game for me. I messed up the trans once, then it wouldn't accept any new projects for the game file. Any fix for this?

Is this Japanese to English only? Or can you actually translate from any one language to any other language? If the second scenario, then this could be very helpful for worldwide span releases. And I'm most certainly interested in something like that.

Are you planning on adding a grammar translator to the program, kind of something like once the Japanese is translated into English the English is then put through a Grammar translation so it makes sense? (hell I'm hoping l make sense)

l know it won't remove the need for manual translation but it would help, it's just an idea, l honestly can't wait for this program to be for fleshed out and thank you for even putting time into it.

Personally I wanna know how to enable auto-translate for russian language.

hello again. i have tried it with other games, those with "data" as a folder and placed translations in each column in the application then exported it into a seperate folder, copy pasted it and it still doesn't work. am i doing something wrong. like i have tagged the auto translator button, should i not have pressed that if i could get some more help on how to use this that would be great please

(sorry for the english xD)

Personally I wanna know how to enable auto-translate for russian language.
The problem is if the game was already extracted the tool won't work
and the second problem is that DXExtract can't extract newest wolf rpg games
hope he fix those problem for wolf rpg games

Update: Coworker sabotaged the truck's mirrors by applying a threadlocking compound to the bolts used to adjust the mirrors. Now NO ONE can adjust them. So I filed a legit report of sabotage of equipment to leadership and declared that I cannot safely operate the vehicle if I can't see what needs to be seen. So the truck has to go to the shop for repair, and we need a substitute vehicle. Nice work, dude :p
