I don't understand whats happening , it was working before but now no matter what i do the Google translate tab keep telling me to "Click the connect button to connect translator with translator++" . I assume the connect button is the one between the "unlock pane" button and the "add a note to this file button" , i've tried reinstalling multiple times too and nothing's working .

I don't think there's much hope that the developer comes back to answer the comments here. The tool, as it is now, doesn't work in any way.
At the moment, you have to do it all by yourself but maybe there will be some more useful developer tools in the future that will help us to translate our games. We'll see.

@SpeedHK What do you mean, your atlas doesn't work? And how does that relate to translating a game?

Please note, as has been stated above, the OP has left the site, and it looks like this program is no longer supported, so if you are hoping to use it for your game, you are likely to be disappointed.

Hello.
This is a really great tool!
But I have a question:
I already used this tool for RPGMV Games and everything went well.
But how much I try to use in RPGVXACE games it seems that the translation is not done ...
It turns out to be concluded of course, but when I replace the files it is as if the translation had not been made. Only in the program does it appear normally.
As I run the .EXE of the game the Japanese language is still there ...

Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of problem? Is there a solution to this?

I tried to use this with a wolf RPG game that came out a few years ago. I was able to extract the data and translate, but the date is in .wolf format. When I try to export I have a few options, one has the data in a folder, but none in the .wolf format. Can someone tell me how to export translations for wolf RPG games?

tbh, this tool seems much more useful for translating your own games into other languages than anything else.

Since a lot of the community is ESOL (seems like Russian is most common on this forum; obvs Japanese has its own communities, etc.) if you want your games to reach a full audience, you need to be able to translate them, and tools like this optimize the process of doing a partial translation and then handing it off to a native/better-than-you speaker to fix any weirdness.

Hi, I was trying to try my hand translating for the first time, and Im really liking this tool so far.
I chose a RPGVXACE game for this.

The only problem is, sometimes the translation wont show in the game, or it does only conditionaly.
Here is what I do:

1) Load the Game.exe, which loads Map<number>.rvdata2 files for me
2) Translate text in the Map files (right most column)
3) Checkbox the Map files, then export the Map files in a folder
4) Put the exported files to the Data folder of the game

This works fine for most of the text I translate, but not always.
For example, when making the character search an object for items, Im given dialog with a choice to search or not search.
The translation properly shows here.
When I get the item, and try to search again the same object (which is now empty), the same choice dialog shows untranslated.

Similar thing happens when loading a save file from before the translation, which keeps showing the old text, until I leave and reenter the area.
But I think I kind of understand this, the save file probably has copy of the Map file in it, and it realoads with the reentry of area.


Like I said, Im new at this.
I dont understand completely how RPG Maker loads its Map files.
For all I know, the old Map file is being cached in some mysterious ways, but I dont know how to fix this,
because I dont understand how the game system works well enough.

If anyone has some pointers for me, I would be grateful.

EDIT:
Nvm, I figured it out. The Translator++ does not let you properly translate CommonEvents.

I eventually just loaded the the data into Rpg Maker, and after some research found the line I needed to translate in Tools/Database/Common events.
After saving and pasting CommonEvents.rvdata2 back into my game, the problem was solved.

But when looking at CommontEvents in Translator++ editor, the line I needed was not there.

The number of rows in my CommontEvents is pretty big, around 2000, so I pasted the whole thing in Excel a used the Find... function there, just to be sure, but no luck.

This might need a fix, but other than that, this looks like a pretty good tool.

so we can ignore their auto translate defenses like goggle or bing

goggle want you to pay for the AI translator before you use them

or just use bing and auto translate 1 by 1

if you want to keep using the batch autotranslate just use bing but you can't translate too many row (max <80 rows)
