I am trying to make my intro where the player chooses gender and name then it places you into a map. My sprite keeps being placed onto the map transparent. I have tried turning transparency off in the event as well as making sure the start transparent option is off in the system tab. I also made sure the actor has a sprite. Anyone have any ideas about what I am missing. I followed Hika guide on youtube and our event are identical but hers is working lol.

Can't seem to get a screenshot to work but i have tried both of these and neither worked.

Change Transparency On

Change Party Member Add 0001

Transfer Player

Change Transparency Off

and

Transfer Player

this is the way Hika had and hers worked.

The only way I have gotten my character to appear is if I had no transparency event at all.  If I do that however my sprite appears on a blank map for a second before being transfered and that just doesn't look like how I want it.

Thanks for assisting a new game developer.

Instead of Add Party Member you could try Change Actor Image.

RMMV
A lot depends on the timing, where and when (and with which options) you give your commands.

Can you give screenshots of your entire event, and change the transfer to a new map (to make sure that there are no events on the target map to mess up the sequence) and check if there are any common events active on parallel or autorun?

On my journey of character rework: I had this character, she was meant to be just a princess that joins your party. And at long term she was just uninteresting... So I tweaked her to be a rebel agaisn't the royalty before meeting up with the party.

Quick tip for any other ametuer pixel artists! When trying to create a colour palette, enabling Antialiasing can speed up the process of creating different shades! Just place your lightest colour and your darkest colour next to each other, select both pixels, and stretch it out!
