I downloaded RMXP recently and have been having a lot of trouble with the transparency on the tilesets. When I open the program, the background colour is different each time, but never transparent. I used VX Ace usually, and have never had a problem with that before. Any idea on how to fix this issue?

The color IS transparent - XP uses a placeholder color to stand for transparency, and that color can usually be set in the options - but due to compatibility problems with modern windows version it sometimes cannot read the setting which color to use for displaying transparency.

But if you setuo everything correctly, that is only a display problem and ingame it will be transparent.

When I playtest the game, what should be transparent is black, no matter what the transparency colour in the program.

That should only happen if you placed the tree on the bottom layer, as the parallax is black - please check and make sure that you have selected one of the higher layers (two or three) before placing that tree. XP doesn't autoselect the layer as Ace does

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
