Trial expired...but never used?

Hello everyone! I am currently having a problem with using RPG Maker XP. My windows 10 laptop I bought a week ago from an old friend after I moved to New York. I want to use RPG maker XP in order to create maps for my pokemon roleplay, but when I tried to use it it stated that my RPG maker XP trial expired. My friend told me that she used the trial for 10 days but uninstalled it shortly after those ten days. Would anyone be able to help with this?

Even if she uninstalled after 10 days, the trial period would have continued past that, so if that was more than 20 days ago then it's expired. But if you really only need the program to make maps and aren't actually making a game, you could try using Tiled. It's just a map editor program, but it's free:
