Trigger cut scene on equipping armor

I have a piece of armor which, when equipped, I would like to trigger a cut scene.  I cannot know when the player will equip this armour, if at all, so I thought to use a parallel process, which is messy and not my preferred solution.  However, even that does not appear to be an option because the conditional will only check if the item is in the inventory, not if it is equipped.

Does anyone know how to do this?  I know that Tsukihime has a script for triggering events if something is equipped/unequipped, but it is not available for commercial use.

I would write you a script once i got home, but what you are asking for is really simple and Hime already implemented the most practical solution. So i would basically rewrite Hime's script and i don't know if i could legally give free commercial use in this case.

Oh dear.  It's just that I'm already well over budget, and $20 just to trigger a cut scene is hard for me to justify.

If it's equippable by anyone and you just want to check if any character has it equipped, this should do the trick as a conditional branch in your event:

$game_party.members.any? { |member| member.equips.include?($data_armors[armor id]) }

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
