Triple Triad - FF8 Mini-game

    There should be a debuff icon appearing.


    Did you set the 'ElementInc_Img' and 'ElementDec_Img' settings in the Elements script up properly?


    The images used for them must be in the Triple Triad folder.


    If you implemented TT in your own project, and wanted to use the default images, did you copy the sample images I made over to your Triple Triad folder?


    Also if you want to achieve the effect you described (fire getting debuff on wind field), make sure to disable the 'AffectAll' setting for the element you made.


    And just to be sure, check your card setups, maybe you forgot to change it's element.


    Excuse the rather obvious advises, I just wanted to list all possible reasons.


    I just re-checked this, made 2 new elements myself to check the effects and visuals appearing in the duel, and I had no problems. Buff and debuff indicators appeared as expected and the card's stats changed accordingly as well.

    Sixth, in the 'win/lose' screen, where the player is asked to confirm their decision of taking the enemy's card (in the 'One' win games) is it possible to make it so when the player confirms the card, it automatically backs out of the screen? Currently, after you "confirm" your choice, you still have to press 'x' to get out of the screen. Can you make it automatically do it?

    I do see a text '"Select this card and go to the card arrangement menu?"' in the script, but I don't see what triggers it. It doesn't trigger for me.

    That text triggers in a pop-up window when the player got a card with a full card album after the duel.


    I can make it go to the map instantly after selecting a card for sure. The last time I tried it, I couldn't manage to keep the flipping animation and leave the scene automatically only after the flipping, so I left it like how it is now. I will try to make it after the weekend.

    I love all the work you have done to this script Sixth, sadly the newer versions is uncompilable with my project so I am stuck using a older version. ;_; But I was wondering if maybe you can help me with a little change?

    I love how in the newer version when you are in a duel and when you move the cursor over one of your cards on the left, it pops out on top so you can see it.

    In the version I have it doesn't do that and I was wondering if that was a hard change to make?

    That was made by Malagar, not by me.


    You can get the v1.3 (I guess it was that version number) demo Malagar made, that one has that feature. It can be found in the Triple Triad topic on rpgmakervxace.net.

    is there a way to make a global bgm setting for all NPCs plus have it play in the card selection menu as well?

    I could use a bit of help with this script.  I copied the it over to a game I'm making, and the element icons are not showing.  I cut and paste the scripts from the 1.18 demo to my game, copied the graphics, added the common events, added the items to the database, and added the variables, but the elements are not showing on the cards.  The game itself works just fine, it's just the elements missing.

    What am I missing?

    Then there's a problem with your transfer, are you moving all of the images correctly?

    The element icons are taken from the iconset directly. If you got a different iconset than the default, you should set them up in the script to match your iconset.


    If that's not the case, try to set the 'SwitchPaintNumbers' setting found in the general settings section to 0. If I remember right, the switch assigned to that setting needs to be turned ON in order to show any icons on the cards. But you can set it to 0 if you want that feature to be always ON.
