The element icons are taken from the iconset directly. If you got a different iconset than the default, you should set them up in the script to match your iconset.

If that's not the case, try to set the 'SwitchPaintNumbers' setting found in the general settings section to 0. If I remember right, the switch assigned to that setting needs to be turned ON in order to show any icons on the cards. But you can set it to 0 if you want that feature to be always ON.
Changing that switch number to 0 did the trick.  There must be a switch I didn't notice in the demo game that was turning it on, that I didn't copy over.  Which must be why it wasn't working in the version I made.

Thank you!

EDIT:

One last question!

Is there anyway to hide the "NEW" image while you're playing?  I find it distracting while trying to play and my opponent has "NEW" showing on half of his cards.  I still like to see it when picking your winning card or when you open a booster though.

Incredible script, and incredible addons and updates. Works perfectly. The only thing I think is missing is a more difficult AI, as it is now opponents are just too easy to beat. Will anyone be doing a more difficult AI update in the future?

The highest AI level is fine I find, and will not make any errors -- how does this not suffice? Triple Triad is a math game -- sometimes its just not possible to win. Also, if you are playing with the plus and same rule, with combo activated, its nearly impossible to beat the computer every time.

I have yet to be defeated once when opponents have same level cards as I do, even when playing with same/plus/combo activated. The AI as it is currently does make errors, several times I have been like "oh damn it's gonna put that card there" then it places another and I win when it should have beat me if it had just placed the right card, also it doesn't take elemental slots into account, if I place a fire card on a fire slot, say the left number on my card is a 5, the AI will put a card with a 6 on the right instead of a 7, so it seems to be doing the math correctly for same and plus but not elemental, and it doesn't have the ability to "think" ahead and try to anticipate where I'm gonna move next.

Then youre either

1) a genius

2) setting up your enemies incorrectly.

You need to start a new game for the changes to take place.

No ones trolling - I just don't believe what you're saying. One possibility is one that I mentioned, you may have increased enemy difficulty but failed to start a new game, which is required for your changes to take place.

The elementals wasn't me that implemented, so I don't know if it is taken in the AI, but as you are saying... probably not D:.

Anyway, the difficulty is intermediate, it is not the best it can be, if you know exactly the cards your opponent has, it can be slightly predictable, if you do put more then 5 cards for him to choose from, and the cards being hided away, it gets pretty leveled the game.

I was going to improve that, as you can see you can only choose up to normal, but since I am on the last year of university, you can imagine the time I am having right now :( .

Thanks Raizen :) I can imagine you have no time with all your other responsibilities. If you ever get to improving the AI, or someone else does I'd be very happy. I'm not requesting it, just hoping. As is, the script is perfect except for that little detail. So thanks again for your wonderful script.

Ok, I have another question/request...

I just added a mouse system to my project (Shaz's SUPER SIMPLE MOUSE SCRIPT) but it doesn't work with the triple triad scenes. Does anyone have or can make a fix for this?

Thanks in advance

OK I just read all 8 pages of this topic, but I haven't found an answer yet to a question I have: How can I display a text message when an enemy runs out of cards after a few rounds of Triple Triad?

I'm pretty sure it's fairly simple, but I'm at a loss. Some help please? Anyone?

I am under the impression that enemies cannot run out of cards --- how did you pull that off? It's been a while though.

Exactly, he doesn't run out of cards... xD

When I coded this, I didn't want to create branched for when they run out of cards, so they never actually run out of cards.

Dymez: there are 2 arrays for each enemy. The first array has all cards he can play with, the second one is fixed, it has its reserved cards, if the first one goes below 5 cards, it fills itself with the reserve cards, which do not run out :) .

Are there any plans to translate this script to MV format? Because a lot of people want to see it done, including myself!

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
