Trouble Equipping ONLY swords for a character

So I got this problem where I want my protagonist to only equip swords, but the game allows me to use fists as well.
I don't want the player to go into battle without a sword. How can I sort this out?

I think you will need a plugin for that. One that doesn't let empty slots.

i was about to try out yanfly's equip core plugin but the download link is broken haha

Looks like Yanfly may have changed the free download links to provide the entire free bundle now, instead of just the singular plugins. This link worked for me just now though.

Weird, when I scroll down to the download it just says "This widget either never existed or is no longer available"-
