Hi,

I am not sure if this plugin have been requested or whether if this plugin have been available somewhere. I have checked using google and as far as it goes, I found nothing for this feature in RPGmaker MV yet.

This plugin goes like this:

Let's say the limit of inventory is 30. You take 30 potions and keep them in you inventory. And by the time you take another item after that, you will be asked to discard one of the potion or leave the item be~~

Thanks for at least reading!

While I don't think it has a discard prompt, there is a feature like this in Yanfly's Item Core that lets you limit how many consumables, weapons, and armors you can carry at once (Separate limits for each tho).

http://yanfly.moe/ and grab his plugin packs.

Ah....I see that the plugin could limit how many item you could carry at once for each of its kinds (eg: potion limit 10, elixir limit 10, and so on).

But what I mean is something like:

1. Potion limit 10, if you buy 22 potion, then it will take 3 spaces in your inventory ( potion x10, potion x 10, and potion x2).

2. Inventory space limit. eg. If potion limit 10, and inventory space limit is 10, if you buy 100 potion: what happens is that you will have ten "potion x10" in your inventory, and further item can not be put into your inventory unless you remove one of the "potion x10"

And I don't think yanfly plugin could do that.......(I might be wrong though....)

It is too bad about the discard prompt.

BUMP

(I don't know if bumping is allowed btw).

Asked yanfly about it and basically, it only makes the item stands independently in your inventory.

There is a inventory limit, but you can still get items even if you have far passed your limit.

Well lets see,
You would probably have to make a variable in the game party that sets the limit of items in your container.
Each time you gain an item you would have to generate the total number of items in your inventory and not just different items but every item
Then if you exceed your max value then throw out a window stating you don't have any more room. After that you would tell the game to by pass the gain item altogether and be done.

So basically, do something like control variable, and then set it to item possession count in game data, if it passes the limit then a window comes out saying that "you have no space"?

Kinda tedious (if you have a LOT of items) but hey it is a pretty nice idea. Will try this soon.

Now it would be even better if there is a window asking you if you are going to discard some items from your inventory or pass on the item.

This should be simple, but as far as I know I haven't found any function or script call or plugin for this.

Heck I can't even discard item from inventory menu/list directly >.<!

Well if you can get it to display that you are losing an item then getting it to allow you to choose what to keep would probably not be that hard.Only problem I can think of is the game stacks similar items in one group. So you would loose 15 potions if you selected that. Unless you made a window that displayed each item out.

Edit: Well I got it to limit the number of items you can have in your inventory but I also think it limits your armor and weapons too.

I will have to put in some more checks to fix this I think. However it could be an issue if you have multiple plugins editing the gainIItem function.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
