TRUMPH - The Meme Wars

Introduction
This will be my next project in the new year (2018).
I'm planning to use all custom content in this one unlike my previous project
that used RTP and free to use resources made by other people.
Screenshots only show a rough design and are far from the final look of the game.
And no, the borg cube is just a placeholder until I come up with a design
for the enemy ships.

Story
It has been 30 years since the collapse of the Galactic Union of Socialist Planets (G.U.S.P.).
From the ashes of this once great power in the universe, emerge 3 factions:
The Democratic Union - Ruled by the merciless Empress Alekskada the Third.
The Republic - Ruled by the government of the people, by the people, for the people.
Liberal Terra - A xenophilic nation with the ultimate aim of assimilating all life in the galaxy.
War will breakout soon. A total disaster!
You are Trumph. A former Admiral in the G.U.S.P. Fleet, and ex-convict.
The President of the Republic has reinstated your rank and will only pardon you for your past crimes on one condition:
To work for the government and destroy anyone who opposes the Republic.
You are given the ship, P.R.S. Mememaster. A prototype super ship with big and powerful weapons like the galaxy has never seen. Fire and fury!
But will it stand up to the might of the Democratic Union and Liberal Terra,
or will Trumph fail and go straight back to the slammer?
That, I can't tell you until I start making this game.
