I seen it in a game a couple years ago, the party walked up the path, triggered an event and it showed an animation (im sure it was evented) of the building blowing up and pieces landed in different places...
HOW!?
Ive tried several things including reaching out to the developer lol
nothing :( RMMV

I've never done this, but in my head this could probably be achieved if you have parallax maps and make the animations in Adobe After Effects or any other software. Create two parallax maps, one is for before the event (in this case, before explosion) and the other is for after the event. Save those animations in either video format or pictures (frames). When the event occur, trigger the video or pictures to play until the end, then change the parallax map to the one for after the event.

'Game Mechanics Design' is for looking at aspects of game play at a more conceptual level. "How do I...?" questions go in the Support forum for the engine you are using.

Please specify which engine it is so that I can move this thread to the correct place. It is helpful if that is included in the info under your avatar as well, in case you forget to mention it in another thread.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
