Trying to download it and it won't work please help!

I had recently purchased a new Acer computer with windows and I already owned rpg maker vx ace and I have been trying to download it to my new computer but everytime I get it to the end it says it failed to download please help!

where did you try to download?


Simply download the tryal and activate it - if you purchased by forum store, that has been discontinued and you need to ask for a transfer of that download link to the main store (search for forum store transfer to learn how to do that)

I tried to download the trial and activate it but it gets to the end and says failed to download

which link did you use for download? there are several possibilities.


And you never need to activate the trial - the activation turns the trial into the full program, clicking continue without activating let's you use the trial

I used the link from the rpgmaker website

I was asking for the exact link (a copy of the web adress containing the exe) because there are different possibilities. But if you got the correct one then you have to retry the download (I suggest disabling any download manager you might have running) until you get it downloaded completely.

Can you describe exactly where on the website you found the link above? It looks like there is a wrong reference somewhere...

Okay im trying it thank you! and It was from the start a trial for it part.

That one says failed to when I try to download it

then you have something on your computer preventing a download from completing, or your internet hoster currently has an instable connection - because that download worked for me (started just before I posted here, and completed).


Check your windows, try to use other browsers, and try to download it at a friend and transfer it by USB if you can't find the cause

I find whenever I download ANYTHING from that site, it's incredibly slow, times out often, and I have to tell it to resume.  I was thinking it might have been something wrong with my computer, or internet connection, but all other sites, and the forum, are all okay - it's only the downloads.  I'm pretty certain there's something about where those files are held - some bandwidth limits or shared server or something that is causing it to throttle.
