    So I want to make a game that looks like it was made in 2k3, aesthetic and all, with access to MV's cool features. (plus, 2k3 is pretty outdated and buggy from what I've heard) I'm currently trying to emulate the resolution (320x240) with 16x16 tiles. However, it appears the two are still not in scale, when comparing it to Off as an example:

    (I'll fix the sprites later, but I made the map tiles 16x16 using Shaz's plugin)

    and the resolution is 320x240 (apparently) on both.

    Am I missing something? Am I stupid? Should I just use 2k3 to make something like this?

    These are both 16x16 tiles at 320x240 resolution, however 2k3 up-scales 2x to create a 640x480 sized window.

    You can do this in MV by modifying SceneManager.initNwjs in rpg_managers.js:
    Code:
    SceneManager.initNwjs = function() {
        if (Utils.isNwjs()) {
            var gui = require('nw.gui');
            var win = gui.Window.get();

            // Resize window to 640x480, keeping the margins
            win.width = 640 + win.width - SceneManager._screenWidth;
            win.height = 480 + win.height - SceneManager._screenHeight;

            if (process.platform === 'darwin' && !win.menu) {
                var menubar = new gui.Menu({ type: 'menubar' });
                var option = { hideEdit: true, hideWindow: true };
                menubar.createMacBuiltin('Game', option);
                win.menu = menubar;
            }
        }
    };

    There is very likely a better, more ideal way to do this than what I've shown here but this is what a brief investigation finds for me.

    I wonder if you're using a Plugin that overrides this code.

    Please describe the way you've changed the tile size to 16x16, someone should be able to help you from there. It's 100% possible to achieve what you want to do.

    ..bump. Help? I tried making a new project with just these plugins, in case the other Yanfly thing I installed was conflicting in any way, but nope. Same result.

    The map for your game looks like it's 17 by 13, when the resolution for rm2k is 20 by 15. The resolution is correct. Do you specifically want the picture to be blown up like it is for the other game? Does your game look fine in full screen? Remember, 320 by 240 is tiny. It was tiny back when rm2k came out.

    I've heard the community basic plugin has issues, especially when dealing with resolution. Have you tried using Yanfly's Core Engine instead?

    Yes, this is exactly what I want.
    Thanks, I'll have a look at that. However as I said, it has nothing to do with the issue I'm having, as I trying starting a new project from scratch, and this still happened. :|
