Trying to Get All My MV Stuff

I Read the FAQs, Scanned the tut pages, searched, etc. Here is where I am:

Is this download a real thing? I cannot find a live link.

(Not including preorder bonuses, Base resources, Generator files - but everything else?)
If I have all this do I need the download link above?

So then, all of that Base Resources stuff is in in my Steam install, which is a pill. How so I get it over with my other stuff? Does everything just keep getting dropped in those img files? All new resources can go there?
And I'm sorry to be a pill, myself, but which Steam files here are which? I mean, which are new stuff I have to move over, versus "RTP" kind of stuff I already have?

I know I do not want every resource in every game. I get that it is gonna heavy up my files. But after spending a silly amount of time trying to find an MV motorcycle in my game folder, only to finally find it as another download somewhere else... well, I just need all my ducks in a row, err, downloads in the same folders, as it were. =/

Is there anything else I gotta know about the database, in terms of hidden resources?

I am trying to get my granddaughter started, (got her Ace and MV) and I really do not want to look like a complete and total idiot.

Not sure where you got it, but don't you think it is better to try it than to ask if it's a real thing?

The above link is for your database items, to not have 4 weapons and stuff in it, but more.
The RTP materials themselves are complete.

Everything you have in your DLC folder is not included in the RTP folder. If you want, you can copy these files in your rtp folder, but this will inflate your base ptoject folder completely unnecessarily. Not to mention, I am not sure what updates do with that.
Also, unifying everything completely complicates crediting and stuff.

Ahhh, crediting, the necessary, important constant administrative hurdle I cannot neglect.

But maybe I am not making what I need clear. If I am trying to find the mv sci fi motorcycle, I just cannot go looking in the RTP folder and then the Steam folder and then a whatever else folder. I need it all together. Shoot, I didn't even HAVE it on my PC at all until a couple days ago when I finally installed MV/Steam version.
So in order to be sure I have everything I should, I just want an idea of what the basic resources are and where they are.

Thus, "where's my stuff?"

You should have gotten extra download links with your purchase for everything that is in the steam DLC folder, including base resources etc.
The base resources are in that folder and no where else. They are additional parts of the stock resources that not everyone needs and were not included in the newdata folder to prevent bloating the projects of people who don't use them in their projects.

What steam calls "DLC" for management reasons is nothing but the usual download of resources from the shop. It is there because that automates download and updates with steam. There is no problem if you simply copy that into your regular resource folder.
Of course it only gets updated in the DLC folder, but you would have to redownload your shop resources manually on the rare cases that those are changed so that is no difference.

When MV came out there was no database included, so Archeia made one available through download. They later included it in update 1.3.0, so downloading isn't necessary anymore (nor does the download work).
Btw, I think you're confusing database and RTP somewhere in your post. The database is where you set up actors, items, skills etc.

As for "where's my stuff":
Part 1 of the RTP is included standard in your project files when you open a new project. Part 2 (the scif-fi modern resources - they're listed as Base Resources) are not, so you'll need to copy those over from your DLC.

Thank you everyone.

So if I have MV version 1.3.4 that downloadable RMMV_data.rar is already installed, and I can ignore it.

The base resources which somehow I didn't get into MV before (I am a slouch) I can just slide over from the DLC folder from STEAM into the NEWDATA>img folders.

And I can use the MV location as my base of operations. =]
