So I'm using Himeworks menu music plugin and its great. The problem is that I don't want it on in the first map of the game as its a character creating even and after you choose your class and name it opens the menu for stat distribution and skill selection and it stops the current background music. I just need it to not be on during the first map and then turn on after the character transports to the actual first map. Please and thank you :)

Here ya go ;)
Attached are 2 plugins.
Place the the "above" plugin above HIME_MenuMusic
...place the "below" plugin below HIME_MenuMusic
...set the switchID to the value you want, default is 100

below one goes below HIME

Then use whatever switch you set the ID to in the plugin parameters located in the below one. Toggle the switch on and off to determine if menu or map music will be played.

Yeah thats what I figured but when I tried it it didn't work :(
It still stops the music when the stat distribution menu opens

I believe I see what you mean now... this has now convinced me to write my own menu music plugin with the requested features rather then attempt a patch... stay tuned :popcorn:

Actually I think I have it working with the patches now.
Was missing an important part with the plugin command:
"set_menu_bgm replay=true" instead of "set_menu_bgm"

Made a demo... see if this will work for what you need?

Was missing an important part with the plugin command:
"set_menu_bgm replay=true" instead of "set_menu_bgm"

Took a look at it
just made some small tweaks the the ways your events were setup.. seems to work as needed as far as I can tell.. but you'll have to let me know. :)

Also I had to copy and rename some of the audio files that were not included with this demo that you sent me so it didn't crash... no biggie but just wanted to let you know so you don't accidentally overwrite the files you have ;)
