One, I can't get this event to work, and I don't know why. I set it to player touch, and it shows some text, makes the player move, and then a self switch activates so it never happens again. It just doesn't activate, I don't know why.

Two. I made a custom character, and I have a cutscene where he get's shoved, and it switches it to the fallen sprite. However; when it makes the switch, the sprite just doesn't appear, so there's the normal sprite, and then just nothing. I know it should be working, because it waits like that, and then switches back to a standing sprite and it's fine. I tested it with a default fallen sprite, and it worked it showed up, it's just my custom one.

Please posts different issues in different threads, and give them meaningful topic titles - everyone who posts here has "issues" of some kind.

1. Show us your event.  My guess, without any information to go on at all, would be that maybe you have an extra event page that doesn't have any conditions and doesn't do anything, which is why your event is never triggering.  It checks event pages starting at the highest number and stops as soon as it finds a valid one

2. Show us your event, and show us your sprite.  If the event works with a default fallen sprite, then it could be your spritesheet that's the problem.

We can't help you if we can't see how you've set them up.

For both problems, please post a screenshot of event that is failing. Its hard to really speculate what might be causing those issues without some idea of where you are starting

Got the screenshots up. The sprite should work, it's straight off the generator. The event, I do have a page with nothing, but it needs that switch at the end of the event to be activated. At first it was a self-switch, but neither types work. I have a switch thing like that for a cutscene, and it works fine, so I don't know why this one wouldn't work.

Where is the screenshot of the second page, and where do you change the sprite?  And we need to see the FULL spritesheet, not just the one character.  As I said, it could be your spritesheet that's the problem - seeing one cell is not going to confirm or refute that.

I get that you might not want to "expose" your project to the forum where things might be stolen, but believe me - we all have our own ideas and don't need to steal from someone else.  The more you can provide us that we're asking to see, the easier/faster this will be resolved.  Otherwise we just have to keep asking for them.

Alright, that's the best I can do for a spritesheet.

I have a self-switch turn on, and the new sprite is on a new page. It should work, as it changes that way again and works fine.

After looking through the movement route settings, I tried change image and the sprite still just disappears. I'll try making a new one.

I also tried it with another custom character I have. It seems like it's just all generator sprites that do this.

Pizzajunky33, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Can you please just post the screenshots of the WHOLE event window, for each tab, of that cutscene event?  You are cropping out some of the most important stuff.

It really is NOT just generator sprites.  It is something you have done, either in your event, or in your sprite.  I can only help you find it by seeing ALL of the event content.  I think I already know exactly what the problem is, but I can't confirm it because your snippets of images don't show me what I need to see.

Yep - I think if you change your character sheet that has the 'down' sprite, and move it to the next row (a regular sprite would have the characters facing left on that row), it might work okay.

The reason is, when an event switches pages, it doesn't change the facing direction by default.  So if your character is facing left on one page, when it goes to the next page, it will still be facing left.  In this case, your "left facing" row on the character sheet has no sprites in it.

It worked, thanks man.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
