How can I put in dialogue when the player loses and keep it alive when it hits 1HP?

Plugins, or make the character have a state at the beginning of battle that makes him immune to knockout. He can't die that way, he'll just be stuck at 1HP i think.

That should be scripts, not plug ins, as this is Ace, not MV.

You will probably need a script if you want the player to lose and still have 1HP.  As long as the player has some HP, no matter how little, the engine assumes that they have not lost.

An alternative would be to inflict the immortal state at the beginning, and have the dialogue on the troop event page, set to the condition of 0HP.  If you still need that 1HP, you can add it at the end of the dialogue.

However, a bit more detail would probably get you a better answer, in that you haven't said what, if anything, you want to happen after the dialogue.  Is the player to be transferred to a particular place?  Does the game over then get triggered?  Something else?  Does the immortal state remain, or is it then removed so that the player dies?

No script is needed for this.

Give your actor the Immortal State at the beginning of the battle

Then Do Condition check of 1 hp for each turn => Run lose dialog when actor is 1hp and force battle to end(abort battle).

The Immortal state will not prevent the HP to get to 0, it will just prevent the infliction of Death state on the actor.


So, regardless if the actor got the Immortal state, the HP of the actor can and will be lowered to 0, it won't stay on 1.


But if that doesn't matter, than yes, it can be evented easily.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
