Today's release features fabulous new battlers from Tyler Warren. These battlers are colorful, creative and feature a fantastic texture that makes them pop. They are reminiscent of the Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior style, making them charming and unique.

Although not in the same art style as the RTP, they seem to fit pretty well into each battleback, from what I saw in the screenshots anyway.  The battlers designs are imaginative and have a lot more range to them than the RTP does, meaning monsters that can actually be put into snow or magma maps and be a perfect fit.  The art design is reminiscent of children's fantasy books, but that works in the pack's favor.

If battlebacks and tiles were made in this style, it would be a refreshing change to games being made with them.  Regardless, these are very well done and I would recommend them.  If I ever find the need for this art style, I will definitely be picking this up!  Excellent work Mr. Warren!

These are excellent.  I love visual puns, so particularly like these e.g. the Bucket Crab.  If only they fitted my current project I'd be buying them straight away!

I typically care little for cutesy monsters and such, but these are actually very well done. I enjoyed looking through the screenshots and such, and they do definitely blend in well with the default battle backgrounds. Wonderful work! :)

The thing is, I'm not a big fan of our RTP battlers. For some reason, they just look awkward. But these battlers look unbelievably awesome. Like you said, they really fit into the background. It's a good thing me and my wife's anniversary is just around the corner. I'm thinking this with the DS+ set is a nice way for my wife to show how much she loves me. :)

It's been a wonderful adventure getting them all ready for the release. Truly hope to see a lot of projects progressing with a rugged set of unique battlers (perhaps more to come).

I did try to ensure they were all usable with the default battle backs, so people could pick them up and plug them in their game without needing extra editing. Best wishes to you all!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
