Ok, I just downloaded RPG maker VX Ace today and everything seems to be working fine except for 1 thing. When I test play the playable character just walks in a certain direction (Left). i tried moving up down and right with the arrow keeps but he doesn't seem to be going in the directions. Totally fixated on going left until he can't go any more. I have placed any events anywhere. All I did was make a terrain and then pressed "Testplay" to test it out. I have tried googling this problem but no one else seemed to be having a similiar problem. I even uninstalled a reinstalled to find the problem still there.

Also I have notice that in the tile screen where I get to choose between New game, Continue or shutdown, that my arrow keys moves my selection down when I press the down arrow key, but the selection does NOT move up when I press the up arrow keys. Meaning that if I want to go back to New game after moving the selection to Continue, I would need to continue pressing down until it loop back to the top instead of pressing up.

No, I don't think the problem is my keyboard because on other games I am able to move up down left and right using the arrow keys. I even plugged out my keyboard and plugged in back in just incase.

If you had searched in this site instead of googling, you should have found several topics with the same problems that list all possible solutions.

In most of the cases, this is a conflict with an old driver port that was originally used for graphic tablets. If you have a graphic tablet, you need to uninstall its driver - current windows versions no longer need a special driver, but the drivers needed for Win9x mess up the port that is checked by RM for the use of game controllers if installed on newer windows versions.

That is also the next possibility - RM checks for game controllers and gives them preference - if you have one attached, try removing it.

Rarer cases were damaged keyboards or even dirt in the keyboard, but if your keyboard works fine with other programs, then it's either a driver or a device conflict on the old input API from Win9x

Yes, the game controller removal has helped me. I use a Bluetooth device that helps me connect my Wii U pro controller to the computer to play some games if using a keyboard proved difficulty with the games. I just had to disable the Bluetooth device then run RPG Maker VX Ace normally with play test and controls back within my control to move in the key directions. Thank you for the help.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
