So im trying to set up a game where right when you hit new game it starts you off instantly into a battle, without having to go through dialog or even map loading but i dont seem to be able to do so. Each time i start the game it first loads up a map *or a black screen* the character sprite then itll fade out and it might start off the event or itll start off a blank dialog box. Im not sure what im doing wrong with this. Advice? Im using MV for making my game.

The normal way would be a blank map then have an event in that map (make sure you set this event to parallel instead of autorun) that begins the battle, having it run on parallel instead of autorun will make it such that it runs right after transition (if you use autorun there will be a visible slight delay before it runs).. To avoid the character sprite being visible on the screen (though if the event was on parallel this might not be necessary), just go to database -> System and find the checkbox that says Transparency ON or something like that and check it. Then just use the event command Change Transparency: OFF after the battle event.

By doing that, it should have very barely visible delay after the title fade, if there will even be a delay. If it's still isn't quick enough for you for some reason, then you will need to make a plugin that makes the battle scene pop first right after choosing the new game command.

or itll start off a blank dialog box
Then you probably have another event that has a show message or something, and it might be running before your battle event.

What im trying to do is as the battle starts dialog also starts talking before a turn is made, a sort of start of the adventure sort of thing.

You would do that with a battle event. In the Troops tab on the troop you use for the first battle, choose Turn 0 as a condition for an event and put your opening dialog there.

May I add that you don't have to check Start Transparent (or something) in the database. When you set up your autorun event in the blank starting map, just turn the player's graphic transparent via Set Move Route as the first command. This makes it easier for when you're playtesting and you don't have to uncheck Start Transparent just to see your sprite.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
