I just realized I started mapping in the middle and not at the bottom *facepalm* I'll redo this and put the tint on it. I might take a while, but I'll try to get it done tonight.

It's fine, you should have seen my face when I spent 10 hours and missed two meals trying to solve one bug in my damage formula. Turns out, it was a typo. Talk about facepalm.

I can't wait for Crolock Castle to have some ORIGINAL tilesets. The castle is supposed to look dark, eldritch, and with a deep blue tint.

I'm having someone else do it, but not without guidance. I cannot draw them myself, but I do know what Crolock Castle should look like.

I do my own faces and that's about it. I find ripping apart the RTP faces and putting them together in GIMP to be tedious. I would probably explode from doing a tileset.

I'm redoing the dining room area with the mass of pink cushions. Do you think it would look better with wooden stools? I know castles are supposed to be, "Look at me I'm rich" but Crolock Castle is filled with monsters so it'd be a little run down right?

As long as it doesn't look too messy. It's supposed to look old but not filthy.

Good observation. That's just because I'm using the default tileset temporarily until I can get a better one.

Realistically, I'd say maybe a month from now. It depends on how compelling the overall design of the game is. Will it attract a willing tileset artist if the game's developed enough? I think so, based on the small community it's already begun building.

It's on one of the Door tilesets.

Oh man, I've had that happen. "WHERE IS IT??" and I find it in plain sight.

A few things I'll be working on for the next week are the story, the atmosphere, and some character expressions.

If you can do that with blue and aquamarine torch flames, that would really give the castle a nice look.

Also, I think I should focus on drawing some better artwork of the six mice, since the ones I use right now, some of them are very old. This picture of Miranda is something a bit closer to what I can draw now:
