All of the upper layer tiles are combined into one image à la RMXP.
This one image (again, à la XP) can be whatever height, but would always be 384 pixels wide. (That's the size that the tilesets are rearranged to in the editor)
All of the B-E tileset tabs would be combined.
P.S. I don't know how VX or VXA worked, I don't have those engines. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Code for implementation:
Not a programmer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mockups:
See attached file. This is how the RTP upper layer image would look. (But 50% size)
Why is this feature good?
RMMV's tileset capacity is severely limited. This would basically take away the limit, so that the only limit would be the memory on your computer. (There's NO way you'd want a tileset THAT large is there?)
Possible issues with this feature?
Not really an issue per se, but technically different maps will need different tiles, so you could technically probably just make a bunch of different tilesets, but that would be a lot of trouble. So I guess this isn't an actual issue, so ignore this part. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
