So i was a member for over 2 years from now. And found some question in the support and other sites that I go to speaking the same question over and over again and since it usually end up in the same question I think It best to make an FAQ for the community. Even if there a FAQ already but It kinda look like some question wasn't there so that why I made this.

Engine Related FAQ

 

Q: It is possible to run RPG maker on other OS? (Ex. Apple)

A: No but it not possible with today version. But it still possible in the future updates. Keep checking the Blog and the official facebook fan page for announcement.

 

Q: Upon trying to activate the game (Trial or License code) it say there was an error upon activation (Cogen DRM problem).

A: If it the Cogen DRM is the source of the problem I suggest that you re-download the latest version of RPG maker vx ace since the new version already fix the bug.

 

Resources Related FAQ

 

Q: How do I install resources? (Ex. Resources from the forums, Resources you brought from the shop)

A: there is two way to install it

 

Method 1

Step 1 open the resources window

Step 2 select the folder where you want to insert your resources.

Step 3 Click Import.

Step 4 Select what resources you want to add.

Step 5 done

 

Method 2

Step 1 Open the game's folder.

Step 2 go to the folder where you want to insert the resources.

Step 3 Just simple Drag and drop or copy and paste.

Step 4 Done.

 

License/RTP Related FAQ

 

Q: Can I sell my game in a commercial game?

A: Yes you can, But it depend on the content in the game. If you use someone else works (Ex. Graphics, Music, Etc..) you have to ask permission to the owner or check the license in their topic/post and credit them.

 

Q: Can I use the RTP in other Non-Enterbrain's game engine?

A: No! It illegal and it against your license to use the RTP in other engine (Ex. Game maker).

 

Q: Can I install the software in multiple PC?

A: Well yes but only the PC that you own.

 

Q: Can I use the RTP from other RPG maker engine/Igmaker to RPG Maker VX Ace?

A: Yes you may as long as you also own the particular engine in question.

 

Q: I lost my license key can you resent it?

A: Well you have to contact customer support (http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/support/contact-us/sales) and show proof that you own the product (Name, E-mail, Etc...) And the staff will resent the code.

 

Game Related FAQ

 

Q: My anti-virus detect that my game (Usually Game.exe) contain virus, Is it really safe?

A: Yes, Because Game.exe is common name also used by hackers/Virus developers to trick people your anti-virus might think that any file named Game.exe always contain virus. Just ignore the warning and continue with your game.

 

Q: I got a error saying that there a problem with the script?

A: Well you have to check with the creator of the script for the solution.
