OH BOY AN UNPOPULAR OPINIONS THREAD GET YOUR SALT SHAKERS READY
- Fanservice just needs to just stop. A little bit of it here and there is fine, but unless you're trying to poke fun at the idea of cute anime girls in skin-tight "armor", it's really not necessary.
- Speaking of fanservice, I actually really like Camilla from Fire Emblem Fates. Her writing is awful (it basically boils down to "mom", "Corrin", and "yandere"), but at the same time, she's one of those guilty pleasure characters.
- And also what is up with yanderes and tsunderes having such a large fanbase? To be honest, the only well-written tsundere I can think of is Natsuki from Doki Doki Literature Club, as tropey as she can be.
- I can't stand Sword Art Online. To be fair, I haven't watched the anime or read the manga, so I have no room to talk, but from what little I do know, it just seems to fall flat on its face. First, the whole "being trapped in an MMO" concept was pretty cool, but then everybody turned it into a trend and now I'm like. Just stop. Second, aren't there, like, three or four different games that the characters get themselves stuck in? Maybe they explain why, but it doesn't really make sense to me. If you were to get trapped in an MMO and threatened that if you die in the game, you die in real life unless you beat the final boss, wouldn't you be like "Yeah, I'm done with MMOs for a while"? And third, Kirito just kinda comes off as an overpowered playboy to me, kinda like Makoto from School Days, except more overpowered and I guess a little more of a decent human being?
I'll see your salt and raise you pepper.

you're just giving creepy dudes more jack off fuel than they already have.
