It seems we both have different taste. And no, I've stopped watching any Fate related series since it doesn't interest me anymore.

Carnival Phantasm is a 2011 anime, and the manga was from 2004, again fate's been weird for a while.

For me, it depends on the setting and mood. In a non-japanese setting, dub often works better, but in an actual Japanese setting, I prefer subs.

Exactly my thoughts. Only one or two voices felt odd compared to the original Japanese ones, but I enjoyed the dub much more.

There are some really good dubs. I prefer the English dubs of Full Metal Panic! over the Japanese for instance.

• Pink Floyd's The Endless River album (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Endless_River) is actually one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums, even though apparently most other people thought it sucked. Excuse them for not making their farewell album sound like all their others albums.

• Kung Pow (the original version, not the DVD version) is one of my all-time favorite movies, although most people hated it. Oh well.

Swords are an overused and largely blandly-used weapon, particularly with main protagonists. At this point, if you're not doing something really interesting with 'em, like Nero's Exceed mechanic in the Devil May Cry games, you should try a different weapon. Even if your character still uses a "boring" style, the fact that they're doing average fighting with a spear or nunchucks rather than doing average fighting with a sword is already more refreshing

Most RPGs are absolutely try hard and boring.
Anime is terrible.
Most people who like anime are cringey.
People who portray themselves as anime character never look like or have the wild, huge, out of proportion features (muscles or breasts) of their cartoons.
I'm not sorry.

@jweav8705 Fair enough, but if you don't like RPGs, why are you here? Also, believe it or not, the other opinions you stated really aren't unpopular. Otakus just happen to be very vocal about it.

Because I like the engine. I like seeing what people come up with. I like seeing people try to make their games as non-rm as they possibly can.

I like using it. It's like a game for me to figure out how to make things work. It's a lot of fun to watch things things work right once you figure it out.

I'm actually working on a rpg for my kid to play and I have very minimal experience playing them and it's really nice because I'm not trying to make someone else's game. And of I end up thinking that I have a good idea that's already been done, it doesn't matter because I'm unaware of it and don't have to debate with myself and say things like, "Well am I trying to make FFVII now, or is this what I genuinely want to do?"

Playing RM is honestly more fun than playing an actual game. RM is a game.
